Hi Catherine,

Just came across your information in one of your blogs.

My business partner and I began working with Mayan weavers and natural dyers in Tecpan area several years ago, starting a fair-trade business, nansuhome.  We have imported 10/2 organic cotton yarn from both Peru and the US.  For personal reasons, we have decided to sell the business and inventory, and have about 500# of yarn now in Tecpan.  We would love to find buyers in Guatemala for the yarn, rather than bringing it back to the States to sell.  We have natural, vicuña, sage, cafe, and naturally-dyed indigo and grey.

If you have any ideas of potential purchasers, please let me know.

Many thanks,
Nancee Neel

Hi Catherine,

Thanks for the quick reply and suggestions!

To answer a few questions:

We do not have fabric, just yarn for weaving.  Prices vary from $12-$30 per pound, with the color grown ones being more expensive.  We are willing to sell it at a better price if bought in quantity.

And yes, we are selling the business as well.  Price is very negotiable, and we are willing to work with anyone interested on the terms.  The business consists of the yarn inventory, product inventory (which is in the US), logo, printed materials, website, and introduction to weavers and dyers who work with us.

Either I or my business partner, Susie Strauss, will send you a more specific description, and will also post on your blog in the next few days.

Again, thanks for the help!!
